Had a great weekend with Pete and his sons at the Dallas Comicon. Meet a lot of great people. It was Nerdvana. I got to meet some of my favorite comic book artists, Amanda Conner and her husband, Jimmy Palmiotti, J. Scott Campbell and illistraitor Tom Woods and his wife. Also got to meet Jewel Staite (Kallie on Firefly) as well as Nathan Fillion and more. Plus all the many others that were there enjoying themselves at this great convention. The cosplayers were out in numbers with lots of great costumes. It was a really enjoyable time even with all the walking, now I can tell my doctor that I got a full years worth of walking in 3 days. I would recommend an event like this to anyone who enjoys meeting new people, actors and artists, just people from all walks of life. I even got to meet the director for the first My Bloody Valentine movie. There was so much to see there and I soaked in as much as possible, missed some too, like Christopher Lloyd but got to see the car from Back to the Future. Saw some of the Walking Dead actors and sat at a Q&A with the Firefly cast. What a time I had.
