Had a little bit of a scare during this part of the route - thought I was going to collide with a little kid. Despite two or three blasts of my horn neither the parent nor kids noticed me approaching, or if they did then nobody aknowledged my presence or attempted to give me room to pass safely. I dont blame the kids one bit - they were doing what kids do best - making the most out of the weather by playing around on the iced-over puddles. The parent should have heard me and made sure her kids gave me enough space to pass, but she failed completely to react at all - even after Id almost struck her kid and had to shove both feet hard on the ground to stop in time. Didnt hear a peep out of her. Luckily collision was avoided, and I continued on my merry way :)
