Had a little chat with the Swedish news magazine Helsingborgs dagblad. See below what we talked about: Purposeful and clever has Linnea Schössow mapped out her future in the music industry. And this year, she can experience the feeling of winning a Grammy - one of the music industrys greatest prize. Dream becoming true. A week ago, Linnea Schössow go to know that the music partner Mat Zos album Damage Control, where the song The Sky that she wrote and sings on is included, got a Grammy nomination for Best Dance / Electronic Album. In the same category competing renowned artists like Röyksopp & Robyn, Aphex Twin, Deadmaus and Little Dragon. - It feels very surreal. Its great to be involved as a singer and songwriter on a disc that is nominated. Its a is a huge confirmation that what I do is good enough, she says. She worked at a call center years ago in Budapest when the song suddenly appeared in her head. - I had to sit and write down the text in secret so as not to my boss wouldnt see. When I went on break, I recorded the song on my mobile phone so that the idea would be there when I came to the studio. Linnea Schössow, which now mainly released pure trance music never thought that the sky would hit particularly high on the charts. But it has been nr1 on beatport and on iTunes for over four months. In addition, song, processed by Mat Zo, got played on MTV. - This song is extremely different from what I usually would do back then. I had no expectations but thought it rather would hurt my career than make success, she says. 2010 the producer, singer and DJ Linnea Schössow released her first self-produced song. Now exile-Helsingborger is close to her dream of being able to live music. The past two years she has lived in the Irish capital Dublin. - First, I lived in Hungary where trance music is very large. But I wanted to try to live in a country where I had to speak English in everyday life. Im very happy here, she says. In Dublin, she has worked with just one goal in mind: to make as much money she can and make her dream come true to live on her music. During the day she works now as an administrator for a fashion company. On evenings and weekends, she is sitting in the studio unless she is out playing in clubs around the world. She says she does not tire of its high tempo or feel any pressure. - Thats what I love to do. And its simply about delivering music all the time. when you deliver music the gigs comes by itself. I spend all my time on it and i love to fight for my dream, says Linnea Schössow which has been in both India, England and Italy and other countries to play for the audience and make music videos. In winter there will be couple of really big gigs that might be her major breakthrough. - In February, I stand on the main stage at the legendary Ministry of Sound in London and Gods Kitchen in Birmingham which is one of Englands largest trance festivals. There are two extreme gigs with lots of people. Oh my God, I jumped and screamed of happiness when i got offered the gigs. There is of course no coincidence that Linnea Schössow gaining huge gigs right now. First of all, she has released tracks on large, well-known record label Vandit Records, Armada and Anjunabeats. Second, she works hard on promoting herself by visiting nightclubs where she wants to play. - I have shown that I want and can. I have made sure that people know my name by my music. Then you should know that there are few female artists in this industry. Its hard to be taken seriously. Sometimes it is as the industry is in a stone age. Now I have the chance to prove I can do it. hd.se/noje/2014/12/13/framtiden-nasta-for-linnea/
