Had a long but good 5 hour session at the Cancer Center today. Wife found out that her heart and kidney functions are all great, hemoglobin count is way up AND she can wait 3 weeks before starting the oral chemo...she will be able to have a little more recovery time from the IV chemo side effects. Also will be getting a second catheter...this one will be inserted between her lung and the lung lining. A home health nurse will come several times a week and use this cath to drain fluid from the lung...hopefully the end result will be to finally get off oxygen. Thanks again to everyone for the continued thoughts and prayers...we are getting there!
