Had a plumbing emergency today, which with the mother in law arriving, was not ideal. The dogs barked when he arrived, but then were fine. However, every time he trotted about with his tools, the pups reacted. He got cornered twice with both big dogs barking at him. His comment - they really dont like me!!. My reply - In fairness, they dont like any strange man in the house, and why should they, thats their job!. He looked slightly shamefaced and commented - Yup, I get that, fair enough. I will never apologise for my dogs. Its their home as much as mine. :)
