Had a problem with a major local computer equipment distributor which refused to honour the 2-year warranty on a Radeon GPU. It showed errors after 4 months. They replied just yesterday, admitting there was a defect in the GPU, that it was in the warranty period and they would not be honouring the warranty. They also made some suggestively intimidating references to their legal counsel. So, I went to the CASE (Consumers Association of Singapore) office, at Ulu Pandan Community Club which is a short drive from my house. I paid them a $10,70 case fee and they drafted an even more intimidating letter to the companys managing director, citing the Fair Trading Act and two other sub-laws. Best $10.70 Ive spent in a long time.
