Had a request to look up the Moore, OK F-5 and the El Reno, OK F-5. The El Reno F-5 was the first F-5 and first large tornado that I have ever seen. We were out chasing and heard it on the weather radio when the supercell was in its beginning stages. We decided to follow this supercell instead of some others that were popping up. Gary (the driver and veteran storm chaser) decided that this supercell would definitely be tornadic and "Wow" was he right. It was no surprise that this supercell produced a historic twister. The entire supercell had become the tornado reached a debri path width of 5 miles and actual tornado width of 2.6 miles. Wind speeds top out at about 295 miles per hour. Just to put this F-5 into perspective, it was 2 times the size of the F-5 that hit Moore, Oklahoma.
