Had a terrible experience at Beach Tavern (the old IIWII, or further back the old Mr. Js). I will not be returning and recommend everyone stay away. Yesterday I and five friends were there for drinks and food, enjoying the hell out of the games on t.v. We had a decent and friendly server keeping our beer glasses full (and our shot glasses). This completely changed when the owners appeared. Suddenly the bartender is being chastised by the female owner, while the male owner desides he will restock the bar. For approximately 15 minutes he was no more than 3-5 feet from me and my friends, as well as the others gathered around the bar, yet he never once looked up to see if we needed a drink (we did) or even to say hello, or thank you, or ask if we were having a good time. He spoke to none of his customers I cant tell you how long 15 minutes is when you are aware that you are being ignored. I decided to express my dissatisfaction by cashing out, explaining to my bartender that I didnt appreciate the rude behavior of all people, the owner. He overheard my complaint and came around to my side of the bar amd asked me you have a problem with me? I promptly replied yes and repeated what I told the bartender. His reply was classic and very telling. Fine, you can leave then. I did. He followed me all the way out of his bar and as the door was closing he said with such sarcasm it made me sick god bless americans (not america, but americans). There is no room in this town for a business that does not appreciate their customers. Even if you have given this establishment your business in the past, I ask you to stop. On this night, and other nights before this, I have heard negative comments regarding the owners, some of which have come from current employees. I assure you if the ownership is this bad, there will be disgruntled behavior from the staff. Have you ever seen the movie Waiting?
