Had a very interesting conversation on gay rights on the bus this morning with this 80+ year old man. First it was about war.in Vietnam, then ge proceeded to tell me he doesnt believe in gay right, he has a grand daughter whos gay and he didnt agree..then asked me whats my opinion, i reponded with all respect id prefer to keep my opinion to myself thinking to myself, YOU CANT TEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS but he insisted in knowing my opinion, so i replied saying im gay, he was surprised and said .. well you dont look gay! I asked him what does gay look like, he said idk anymore, now days everyone looks the same.. and i replied, thats all that matters, and you should love your grand daughter thr same.way you love your grandson!.. he stood up, gave me his hand and said thank you, may god bless you always!.. im not here saying i created a miracle or even changed his opinion on gay rights, but i hope i brought that family closer! Old dude! Thank u! Now off to work!..
