Had a very positive and healthy discussion with Mr. Z. R. Khan, Sub Inspector RPF Bangalore. I really appreciate that he visited Mysore for this meeting and explained the steps taken in order to bring smooth functioning in Railways. Railway Protection Force plays a vital role in maintaining smooth railway movements, safeguarding and protecting passengers, their belongings etc. We discussed about manhandling of reserved coaches for Physically disabled / Ladies. These seats will be forcefully occupied by locals, railway employees and rowdies. This leads to tension and harassment of the victim. Going forward all the reserved seats will be under tight scrutiny of RPF personnel and no person can board these coaches without proper certificate (in case of disability). Emergency numbers will be displayed in all the platform and each platform will have a RPF room OR some RPF jawan in duty. In case you do not find such facilities in place, please make an entry in the complain book available with the Station master. Please co-operate and appreciate the work done by our RPF personnels / TT / Help centers and others. No system is perfect but we can always make it perfect through co-operation and direct involvement. Instead of criticizing / discussing the issues among friends, you should always bring it into the notice of the system. Then only it can be fixed / resolved.
