Had a wonderful birthday get together for Gemma, who will be 17 tomorrow, lots of laughter and wind ups, ( see my Status below that my grandaughters posted, being egged on of course by my son Jason, king of the wind ups !!!!) It was great having Jo and Gemma stay over last night, we had a lot of giggles and memories of the past, was great... Then just when I thought everything was going really good, It got even better , Jo got an email to tell her she has passed her degree with a 2.1 , now i dont know anything about these things, but i know it was only a couple of marks below a First......... AND she got a FIRST CLASS for her Essay she worked so hard on through the earlier summer months, my clever girl has achieved this as a mature student, ( she left school young and had a family young), When her children became teenagers she decided to go back to education, at the age of 33, so its been 5 years of intense study, going from back to basics, to a Degree at the UEA...... Not easy running a home, being a mum and studying at the same time.... but she done it with flying colours.............. I am absolutely beside myself with pride, i could burst, I never even passed my 11 plus , so to have a daughter achieve so much is amazing...... I know i can speak for everyone who loves Jo, that despite serious health problems, despite being a young mum, despite several difficult family situations, despite life...... THAT GIRL HAS DONE GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you sweetheart so much and you have made me the proudest mummy ever xxxxxxx
