Had a wonderful day gardening in the sunshine yesterday, trimming - TopicsExpress

Had a wonderful day gardening in the sunshine yesterday, trimming elder and cherry to make wands and tidying the beds for winter sleep. I was accompanied by a very scruffy little robin, who hid in the wild roses, until the opportunity arose to peck the earth where I had weeded for fresh bugs. Darkness fell quite quickly, followed by an amazing Harvest Moon. I decked my altar with harvest vegetables, fruit, nuts and seed beneath the big sycamore tree at the bottom of the garden. The Autumn sky was a deep indigo, speckled with bright stars and the wind whispered through the branches, rustling fallen leaves. As I kindled my fire, the soft creamy coloured moon rose high in the sky, becoming brighter as She climbed and enveloping all in a silvery blue glow. Incense made from hedgerow herbs ad fruits, swirled on the breeze, carrying my charm and thoughts to the Old Ones. Libations were made to the pale ones beneath the earth and journeys were later made. Have a beautiful day wherever you are :)
