Had a wonderful time at the Cher concert last night. It was FABULOUS!!! Plus I had two great traveling companions, Gaye Auger-Laing and Jennifer Rhea. We had a blast. The concert was AWESOME!!! Cher was very personable and talked to the audience quite a bit throughout the show. I could have lived without some of her more colorful language (lol) but atleast it was not too much of that, but we all know that she has been known to push the envelope even with how she dresses. The show was a tribute to her whole career of work, singing and movies. Parts of it was very touching and took me back to my childhood, especially the parts with Sonny. She did some duets with him on a screen of their early work which is what I love the most. I am glad she included him in the show because he was a big part of her success. I think she changed costumes about 12 times and had that many stage background scenery changes. She sang most all of her hits. I cant believe she can still sing that well and I am certainly most impressed with how she looks and what a great shape she is still in and how at her age she is still able to look so fantastic in all of her costumes. I think it was probably like a Las Vegas show even thought I have never been to one. It was really the story of her entire life, including her childhood before she became famous. Now I would have never bought tickets or gone on my own so I thank Tammy Leckie for giving me the ticket and allowing me to experience this really entertaining show. I am glad to report Tammy is out of the hospital and on her way to recovery and that makes me happy. I might not agree with Cher on all of her viewpoints or even be her biggest fan, but I can certainly appreciate her talent and longevity in show business.
