Had an amazing day today downtown! Seen some very happy shoppers, store was packed for a couple hours.. We have some very nice donations coming in, will be adding them to the store next week.. Here is an idea of what: a couple Kathy Von Zeeland (sp?) purses (very cute), an older but still nice pair of Coach tennis shoes (size 8), and some other very nice stuff too. Just a friendly reminder for anyone who qualifies for supplemental discount (this is not something we have to do, but do to help save a few more money on already discounted nice merchandise), this does apply to everyone. We had a meeting last night and decided only people who are on the assistance, or the name on the card or paperwork would be the only person (s) to get the % off, this will not extend to all you buy, only what you buy for them, so for example if you get ssi for one child, it will only qualify for them. We have to keep this fair for all, and this is how we will do it. ALso: reminder, only items that will qualify are the items that are not on specially marked racks with headers marked specifically saying it is not eligible. This is to protect our non profit, we have to keep paying the bills, and some days (sometimes many days) we are not very busy. We would like to keep this going for everyone, and I have heard some very nice compliments lately, even today, our fb followers are growing, things are doing better, hope this keeps up. When I look around and see large places going under, since we are still in a tough economy for most, I know God is blessing us. It is my prayer that he continues so we can continue. I have faith we shall. Thank you to all the individuals and families, young and old who love us, or like us even just a lil bit, shop us, donate, etc. It matters, and you mean the world to us!
