Had an awesum Friday, visiting Univ. of Fort Hare-Main Cmpus in Alice to meet a team of highly committed and dedicated staff who are passionate about history of this great institution in producing the African Intelligensia, and building African Leadership in our our Continent. Most humbling was to visit and learn about the Freedom Square where our African scholars and leaders from various countries would meet and share their country situation, and in this open area convene students to share with them and engage, the Art galeery with pictorials and art works of the early 1900s,tjo hayike ndivaleke umlomo and my heart sunk on walking into NAHECS-A National Heritage and Cultural Studies Centre that host the LIBERATION ARCHIVES, where archival information of individuals and organisations of our liberation movements are held from ANC, PAC, Azapo, BCM, New Unity Movement, with TatuMandela, OR Tambo, SE Pheko, ndibala ntoni hey bethuna uMzansi esiphila kuwo is wealthy-indeed we have GOOD STORY TO TELL. I want to challenge myself and all of you my friends, comrades and combatants to spread the work about this great University, and organise where we can-am willing to assist to get our youth, and SAs in general to visit this place that we must agitate for it to be a national historic and heritage site to remember the role it played in building this country we have today. Our story must be told by ourselves, and the Liberation Archives are a testimony of the Battles of our people and reference of how African leaders were moulded conscious of their responsibility to their country and the Continent they belong to-this is more relevant today as it was then to liberate the African minds. This University will be celebrating 100 Years in 2016, if there is anything you can do, its to blow the horn so hard and make the loudest noise that indeed as Africans we have a GOOD STORY TO TELL Aluta Continua
