Had an idea a day or two ago having my morning coffee. Im a fan of to do lists - it helps keep me focused on what needs doing and I love ticking off the items and getting a sense of accomplishment. Most of us know what doesnt work well in our lives and yet for many, myself included - we continue doing what we know doesnt work or isnt beneficial. Its bizarre and yet I know I fall into this trap or rut all too often. So after having this idea, I came across a post by someone who is highly productive and successful and wanted to share a post she is featured in. Her suggestion and mine is to create, write it out by hand as your mind better retains it - a NOT To Do list! Her name is Barbara Corcoran and this is the status post she did: This New Year make a Not To Do list. Figure out what past efforts amounted to nothing and label them your Not To Do list. Post the list where youll see it often. ow.ly/Gj2ni So in the spirit of her post and the synchronicity of having the same idea, take some time to write your NOT To Do list, I will do the same. I will make a point of keeping that list handy, in a place where I can easily see it each day and as often happens, when you get clear on what you dont want or what isnt working well - you can many times clearly see what the opposite of that is which will give you a great To Do list of what can work well. Hope some of you will share something NOT To Do with us and what you can do to counter that with something To Do that will benefit you. Ill start! NOT To Do - I will NOT spend countless hours on Facebook each day. To Do - (the opposite of that is): I will set a time limit on how much time I spend on Facebook, find what I need for that day and stick to my time limit.
