Had an interesting discussion recently. Someone said that they think humans are unimportant with respect to the rest of the planet. I disagree. Completely. I do not think we would have been created (by the earth, nature, God, whatever) if we were completely unimportant. It does not, for me, stand to reason that so much energy would be used to create something so complex as the human without any importance. What I think more likely is that we are simply not that great at being human. What I think is that we should simply concentrate on being better humans. But, I thought that with my tiny human brain, so what do I know?
