Had an interesting experience yesterday. As I was running I was about to cross the street downtown when I heard a car "gunning" its engine. The driver was clearly trying to "beat the light" and not looking for a pedestrian (me) about to run across the street. If I had not been careful, I could have ended up on his windshield but I stopped in time and he sped past. I suppose the lesson from this is that sometimes a few classes from the "school of hard knocks" is to never take anything for granted, be aware of your surroundings and above all LOOK as it might save your life.
