Had another come here today and I have never seen anything that made me so sick! I really did not think I was going to be able to handle it. Lord I sometimes wonder why I do alll this. It costs us every last penny we have, we never get to go on vacation cause there is no time, too many animals to go off and leave even for a weekend, no extra money. If we have a dime left over out of our own pay check it goes into the rescue and then to have to deal with stuff like this and see so much abuse. This poor little dog had a ball of poop on his rear end the size of a small mellon. The smell about killed me and then to try and get it off was almost more than I could bare. No telling how long it has been on there and poor little guy could not use the bathroom and no telling how long its been since he has been able to use the bathroom. Infection galore around his rear end. When I finally got it off and got him some what cleaned up he started passing blood all over me all over the place. Got that under control and then had to start working on the pus. Not to mention the rest of his poor little body that is in terrible shape. Of course he is bone thin, was starving to death for a drink of water but through it all he was a trooper. He just laid there as he knew I was trying to help him. I know it had to of hurt him and he never tried to bite, never got upset with me and even tried not to whine. This one really was about more than I could take.
