Had blood work done a couple days ago. Ron didnt even know they did it! He slept right through it - which is good and bad. Good because they were quiet and let him sleep (unheard of); bad because you kind of like to know whats happening to you. Anyway, Albumin (protein) is 3.7. Normal is 3.5 -5. Hemoglobin is 13.3. Normal is 13.5. This is the highest these readings have been in over a year! I am so excited! Ron is getting better and stronger every day! PT came and got the wheelchair to redo the brains today so we didnt get to go outside. Im not sure how long theyll have it. They are putting a new head array on it and maybe a chin control instead. A sip/puff control is also available. Im not sure what well end up with. Whatever works best. Did you know at age 50 you can buy hospitalization insurance through AARP for $45/mo. and it will pay you directly $125/day for every day youre in the hospital? There is a three month waiting period. For us that would work out to around $41,000. Too bad we didnt know about it. :(
