Had climbers today. Explained in detail the three reasons one is asked not to climb, but climbing is what they had come for. Maybe had to wear my sunglasses when talking in detail about culture, a touch of history and Tjukurpa to the rest of me group a little later on, even though was under a shelter and out of the light!! You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink (also, you can lead a whore to culture, but you cant make her think... for the record, I dont like this analogy so much as being a whore is not necessarily a bad thing, unless said whores partner does not know said whore is a whore. However, I love the clever play on words of this saying so had to throw it in there!). My opinion is my opinion, and it is not ethically right to force my views upon others, only to educate as much as possible so at least they are making an informed decision, not a blind one. Kept my strong personal views and disappointment to myself, still ensured I refilled their drink bottles when I went back to pick them up in the dark, saved them some oranges and gave them some muesli bars. HOWEVER, for the first time all day, I DID NOT get out my welcome doormat for them to feel welcomed aboard and clean their tainted boots! Take that climbers, jokes on you!! (Although this did contribute to more red dirt to sweep out just before, but thats not the point!!)
