Had just a wonderful afternoon with Dr. Tom and Barb Magnetti at the Purdue Glee Club concert at Valparaiso HS. What a magnificent and enthusiastic group of young men they are with a repertoire spanning innumerable genres of music. Most all seem to be majoring in one of the fields of engineering or in one of the sciences so not only are they talented, they appear very bright as well. If they are the next generation of Americans, we as a Nation are in pretty good shape. And I took note that several of their songs were replete with unabashed references to God – our Judeo-Christian God – to whom we give thanks that political correctness hasn’t overtaken Purdue. Their rendition of Lee Greenwood’s Proud to be an American was awesome and brought the audience to its feet, loudly applauding, midway through ! God bless America.
