Had left over ham, so chopped it up and included dark red kidney beans, beef smoked sausage, creole seasoning, Louisiana hot sauce, bay leaves, garlic, what Donnie says is the holy trinity of cooking in New Orleans bell pepper/celery/onion and tossed it all in the crockpot. That means its red beans and rice tonight for dinner. Even got the rice on delayed timer to be done at the same time as the crockpot, so all we have to do is dish it all up when we get back to sissys house. Time to take some meds for my cold/migraines, take a nap and head back to Fremont to pick everyone up, get Thane and Kiki to their respective team practices, then back to the house. Its good that I had today scheduled off from work, another day to recuperate
