Had lunch with a friend in Belsize Park, went for a walk in Primrose Hill today, lovely - erh, on the path we were met by ongoing lovely lovely doggie, with owner slightly behind, pram at a push :) first instinct was to extol what a lovely doggie, second to look at the owner (for usually you would have a lovely smile as interchange), but alack: awkwardness galore, as David Walliams saw us trying to work out where we had seen his face, trying to remember where we had met him, then realising it is DAVID WALLIAMS (funny and well known comedian, for all of you ifnoramuses abroad, herherh), by which time the three of us had the most natural moment of togetherness stolen from us, as he looked down, and we passed in as awkward silence as his was, not knowing what to say, but only afterwards - oh, the vagaries of fame, and the robbery of normality :( gives pause for thought - I mean, what was he doing there? He was supposed to be on TV, not in the park, innit?!!
