Had one of those moments tonight when someone youve touched in your career thanks you and gives you credit where they are today. I was an Advisor for my departments Law Enforcement Explorer post for over 12 years and many kids that went through the program got into law enforcement and some did not. Regardless, we helped kids get through those formative years to become good lawful citizens. Spent countless hours working with the kids, and made many trips to competitions over the years. This one individual I met when he was 15 years old, and hes 30 now, and has been a damn good cop for 10 years. He told me I was the reason he was a police officer. I retired from there 4 years ago. Theres been many moments in my law enforcement career where I got a little choked up. Tonight was one.......
