Had orientation on another floor at hcmc last night. the burn unit. One of the places in the hospital that I would have liked to avoid entirely. This is a place that cares for babies...on up in age. I left work this morning inspired and humbled! What an unexpected suprise! After helping with a 2 hour dressing change that was head to toe excruciatingly painful for the individual, I still got a thank you. I was told thank you for helping. Made me feel like Florence! Todays hero for me...burn victims across the world and the nurses that care for them.
