Had our first swallow appear for the year yesterday - they always send out one solitary bird ahead to scout out the location then he reports back to the mate and she /he comes to nest here -sweet Just looked out the end window and saw our first pardalote for the season also Had the yellow wattle birds banging into the window yesterday and when I looked it had feathers and fluff in its mouth for nest building had to toss off the doona last night and this morning it is a warm 9C at 8 am with a high of 18 later in the week (14 today) --Spring is here! - blossoms have been thinking about blooming here but down towards the lowerlands the wattle has been blossoming for weeks - always later up here --every year we have been here there has been some sort of record broken , hottest, coldest, wettest , driest - is ma nature telling us something?
