Had quite a lengthy discussion at the doctors, and learned that at some point, I am going to have a spinal fusion. Close inspection of the MRI indicates that the relief I am experiencing is temporary in nature and an estimate is perhaps up to 6 months. If I get that period of time, they will do one more block to see if I get relief from it, but I should expect the effectiveness and duration to be less, or perhaps no relief at all, at which point surgery will be necessary for any quality of life. Ill spend one to two weeks in the hospital, and then 3-6 months in recovery, with a drop in visitor to provide daily care.......He gave me a couple of links to study and become familiar with in preparation for the inevitable. He encouraged me to get out and do my photography and carry on as normally as possible, but to understand that it will become problematic again, and not to let it affect my quality of life....First order of business is to talk to Aunt Judy about caring for Prada when the time comes! So, everyone is up to date, and knows what I do about my status......
