Had some great music this past Sunday at the Pentacoastal Blues Jam at Cecils Dirty Apron . . . saxman Neal Staufenbeil stopped by, as did baritone and alto blaster Larry Christiansen and his flame Nikki Weber so with Pete Lawson on Cornet and John Berry on sax and flute we had the Mumble Bros. Horn Section out in force . . . lotsa bass players, too . . . Steve Cook, Ron Spies, Doug Capps, Darrin OBrien . . . plus, Mr. Hook-Up himself, Rodney Turner sittin on the cocktail kit for Meistro Leonardo . . .skin-slapper Skip Floraday had plenty of hand-drum help from Charlie Miloro and Seattle Bill Griffiths. Florentine Ed Dietz rode the hog up the coast to try out a new amp for a set or so and we got guitar help from chanteuse Stella Blue and John Berry, too, after Pete had run back home for the big-box Johnson 175-look alike . . . Besides me n Ed, we had Stella, Doug, Notary Sojack on the front duties . . . this jam just keeps on happenin . . . even Billy Stiffler finally sat in and blew some Missippi Sax . . . pix to follow . . .
