Had something on my mind for the last couple of weeks & just thought I would share...I was thinking one morning a couple of weeks ago just how much time has changed so many things...most of my songs I sing at church when I sing are older songs (songs from cassette tapes...that tells you how old they are...lol), so I was remembering back to church services when I was a child & how the services were never planned...the song leaders pretty much got there & just sang whatever God laid on their hearts to sing, everybody better be prepared because you never knew who the preacher was gonna call on to sing a special...of course, a certain person crossed my mind & I could still hear him singing Aint No Grave Gonna Hold My Body Down....for those of you who remember this, you will all know that Im talking about Travis Vincent & Ive got goose bumps just thinking about it right now...I can still remember the Power of God that would fall all over that place when he would sing that....its kind of funny though how I can remember that like it was yesterday but theres some things that happened yesterday that I cant remember...lol. Anyways, I know that all things have changed but sometimes I just wish we could go back to those days in our churches where things werent so planned out for us & just let God lead the WHOLE service!!! I hope & pray that no one takes offense at this because Im not by any means knocking our churches today or saying that God doesnt lead or move in them because He definitely does...I just remember the Good Ol Days is all, I guess you could say:)
