Had the best news yesterday. I came home from the hospital on Tuesday when the twins were just a week old. We left instructed to follow quite a strict feeding routine of 3 hourly dual feeds, top ups and pumping. Its been a full on 3 phase mission all to have both of them, especially Isaac who wasnt gaining as well as Ivan, put on some more weight. Well, the twins smashed it! With my first follow up visit from the nurse and their first weigh in since leaving hospital 3 days before, Ivan gained 130g and little Isaac gained a whopping 170g! So relieved and happy to know that the routine is working and that theyre growing well. A huge thank you has to go out to my family, Geoff Cottee and my amazing husband Dima for being fantastic with Alexsa and Timofei and an even bigger thank you must go to my wonderful mum Mary Cottee who is literally my other set of arms. She is there with me for every feed, night and day, being so supportive and I could not do this without her. Thank god for her long service leave! Love you all!
