Had the great pleasure and distinct honor to attend the swearing - TopicsExpress

Had the great pleasure and distinct honor to attend the swearing in of my great and long time friend and colleague Jimmy Clay Smith as the newly elected General Sessions Judge of Obion County, Tennessee on Friday morning. I met Jimmy in 1976 in Memphis where we attended Law School. The third picture was taken at our graduation in December 1978 (we went in the summers and finished a semester early). It is amazing how little WE have changed over the years!!! Jimmy has been and will continue to be a great Judge. He possesses a brilliant legal mind, an innate common sense, a remarkable knowledge of the law, a desire for justice, an untiring work ethic and a caring heart. He loves Obion County and is a dedicated public servant. I wish him well as he begins a new term. I wish also my friends and Judges Sam Nailing and Bill Acree a great term of office and retirement respectively. It has been a blessing to have worked with these remarkable people these many years.
