Had the most amazing conversation with a couple of train-hoppers I met in the square tonight. One of the guys told me this is the fifty third city he has slept in in his whole life, not counting the places he passed through twice. The other guy asked me my name, and told me exactly what it means, and why I should be proud. They were ecstatic to get a couple cigarettes, and wished me the best. They walked off saying something about finding a bridge to sleep under tonight. In our five minute exchange, I realized that they were the most real people I have ever met. Drunk, smelly, real. I wish I had enough faith in myself to get up and go.
