Had the phone repair guy in today as I find it necessary to add two phone jacks to the shop line. Turns out that the phone line has a few issues that we need to fix first. The line that runs from the shop to the other side of the house needs to be replaced. The current line runs partly under the house and then comes out and is buried in the dirt under the shop porch. The line is not even for outside use first of all and second of all it is pre-internet so doesnt carry our signal well. So this week will will be personally running the proper line from one phone box to the other. Then the repairman will come back and connect the new line up and then we will get some jacks added in the pc room and the living room of the house to the shop line. Once that is done I can move the wi-fi modem and the answering machine to the pc room which is centrally located in the building. This should improve our cordless phone & internet reception within the building. Moving the answering machine away from shop window should prevent the kitties from messing with it...
