Had the privilege of leading the RAF Chicksands Firing Party for the 50th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion at the Brookwood Military Cemetery, Woking, UK. The team was made up of all members of the 7274 SPS. It turned out to be a day to remember. As a result of the bag-piper noticing my British jump wings, the team was invited to a party hosted by 21SASR. We were able to meet some of the founding members of the SAS and had the added pleasure of being requested by GSG9 to stay. Their rationale was, They had brought 6 kegs of Bavarian beer for the sniper competition they were having with the SAS, and needed help drinking it. They refused to allow us to leave without helping, so when in Rome... Gotta love good foreign relations!
