Had the scare of a lifetime today. Hurt my ankle on the way home from Vegas last Tues & the Doc today said he could not believe I had been walking on it for almost a week. It was swollen and bruised. He said it was broken and I needed emergency surgery and pins in my ankle immediately. (Trying to figure out how I am going to drive Randy for his hip replacement Weds. ). He recommended I get a second opinion and made the appt for me with a specialist this afternoon. Turns out the specialist said he could see how the first doc thought it was broken but it wasnt. Just need to wrap, ice and elevate and stay off of it for a few weeks. Thank God for second opinions.
