Had to go to the Emergency Room last night because my face, neck and ear were so swollen and painful. They did bloodwork and cultured the drainage. The bloodwork showed that I have a massive infection so they gave me a round of VERY potent IV antibiotics and some extra pain meds and sent me home with a prescription that I have to take a double dose of for the next ten days. The infection has worked its way into both hands and my right arm by the time I got to the hospital. I am so glad I didnt wait till today because things could have gotten MUCH worse had I waited till my apt with my doctor this afternoon. Unfortunately because my hands hurt so much I cant get into my craft room and create. I am worried that if I do more germs will get into the sores that have been created by the infection and that things will get worse! :-( Other than feeling sick to my stomach from the massive dose of antibiotics I am feeling better today and hope I continue to feel better each day! Thank you all for your concern. It really means a lot! :-)
