Had to post this one...sent to me courtesy of Jeff Cobham. aka Kipling: the West Indian white mans burden...so true. From local taxi drivers insistently calling out in a fake NY accent...want a cab Joe? To well meaning foreigners...yes I get that you are from the Caribbean...but where are you really from? To the episode of a truly disappointed USA sister in NY with whom I had a telephone conversation...I didnt lead her on or say anything untoward honestly!!! but I had to see her personally at her workplace for a work related subject and boy..was she irate when she saw me...all sorts of insults/accusations were hurled at me for misleading her with my fake accent..ah well...then to Germany where I still have the newspaper clipping with my photograph and the headline that announced Das Exotische Man aus Barbados mit dem augen blauen...the Exotic Blue Eyed Man from Barbados. Any way..I look forward to your experiences/comments..... just be nice on my thread...some of you all do get carried away...so dont worry..be happy and just remember...all ah we is one......
