Had to share. Shopping with Karen in a new store in Oakley, House - TopicsExpress

Had to share. Shopping with Karen in a new store in Oakley, House of Vintage Charm, I walk into the back room and see this vanity. I KNEW it was my Nonis (grandma for my non-Italian friends) I did not have the heart to open the drawer and make sure it was hers. There was no way I could afford it even if it was. Told my mom about it. We went back. I said mom, I will know it is Nonis if the drawer in the middle is missing a chunk out of the rail. Opened it up and there was the exact spot in the drawer, missing its chunk of wood. We cried. My mom bought it for me for valentines day. At home I still had the matching stool that I kept from when my Noni died 16 years ago. When I got it home and cleaned it up and took the paper liners out I found the spot in the drawer where my Aunt had written KEEP OUT when she was a young looking for some privacy from her younger brother (my dad). I remember all of this from hours of playing at this vanity. I am so happy it is back home with me. Thank you mom! Soon I hope you all get to shop for my craft items at the House of Vintage Charm. I fell in love with the store and should have my items in there soon! You should take a look. Main St. in Oakley.
