Had to share this one. We have a new convention this year in Salt Lake City. Fantasy-Con is going to happen July 3rd-5th and is about all things fantasy genre. The really exciting thing for us is how they are highlighting Larping in our area by building us a huge arena in the middle of the Convention that will seat up to 2,500 spectators at a time (roughly 87x140). The 4 major Larp groups in the Area (Amtgard, Belegarth, Mythic Realms, and Living Adventures) are joining forces to staff the arena, booths, and panels for 3 days of Boffer combat adventures. One of the great opportunities weve started helping with are the Flash Mob appearances of the Fantasy Con Army. Yesterday we came together to practice our marching and formations. (and yeah, thats my squire Gabriel Crowther wearing his gnomish fantasy spectacles on the right) (we didnt realize they were taking photos yet, shortly after this they asked us all to remove our sunglasses, hey it was bright out there!).
