Had what can only be described as an interesting flight home...I sat next to a lovely gentleman who owns a business that analyses water for chemicals & metals in various countries. We were sitting there chatting & then suddenly he turns to me & says can you smell that? I said the only thing I can smell is my hand cream. He says burning plastic, & its coming from the inside, not outside! Picture me sitting there in my head screaming nooooooooooo!!! He then proceeds to tell me that if something happens like a fire, we have 11 seconds to get out (in my head...insert a large range of expletives...yes, not very lady like). So thankfully it was on our descent & we landed safely & he reported it to the staff. He turns to me on the way out & said, actually we would have had a few minutes. Well, now I suddenly feel reassured! Not! Particularly considering Im hopping back on a plane on Monday! Oh, & some interesting facts, Mexicos water has one of the highest concentration of cocaine & if you fancy getting arsenic poisoning, visit Bangladesh because the water is riddled with it. Not bloody likely!!!
