Hadith Qudsi In general, a hadith is a narration in which the words, actions, description or approval traces back to Rasulullah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). But some ahadith hold a distinct place and are classified as Hadith Qudsi (Sacred Hadith). Hadith Qudsi are so named because unlike the majority of hadith, their sanad (authority) is traced back not to the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) but to Allah Almighty. Allah communicated to His Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) through revelation and He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) conveyed it to the people through his own words. The Hadith Qudsi will be the focus of the next hadith collection, starting from HaD-91 to HaD-115. We ask Allah to benefit those who read His Words and to guide them along the Straight Path, for Allah is the source of all strength.
