Hadith on Dishonesty: Allah will punish those who refuse to share water or swear false oaths Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them or purify them, and they will have a painful punishment: a man who has extra water but he refuses to share it with a traveler, a man who swears a false oath in order to sell some goods after the afternoon prayer and he swears by Allah that he bought it for a certain price although it is untrue, and a man who pledges allegiance to a leader only to get something in the world and if he is given he will fulfill his pledge but if he is not given he will not fulfill his pledge.” Source: Sahih Muslim 108 Source: Sahih (authentic) according to Imam Muslim.
