Hager ate a few bites of mash potatoes, meat loaf, and tuna sandwich. Didnt like the honey thick apple juice. It wasnt hard but just different to tuck his chin and double swallow with each bite. Since he is a silent aspirator, it is a little scary to me. He has to continue his speech exercises. He is so tired of the bed. He had PT today and he is always working on some kind of exercise. He was able to get up into the chair with assistance of two using the gait belt. The therapist said she could tell a difference since Friday and he wasnt even up in the chair this weekend. He only sat on the side of the bed on Sunday. He went the length of the hallway twice today so he figures it was 300 feet total. After sitting in the chair 3 hours he was tired (sore but!). After waiting for the people to come with the lift, he asked for us to try to just lift him back to bed. Three of us made him secure with the gait belt and the fourth girl pulled the chair away as we turned him to the bed. It wasnt bad at all. He said he could feel the improvement. At this rate we wont need the lift at home for long !!! Lord, we are so blessed. We have so many friends and family that have prayed with such faith. We have seen you answer prayers. How could people not believe. You are awesome!!
