Hah well this just happened! Had a chat with my non-mtg playing mate about Planeswalkers and if Blue from Blues clues would be a planeswalker because he can seeming transport to different places with ease. His e-mail: Dear Mr or Mrs Wizards of the Coast Employee Hello, I am writing this letter because my friends say that Blue from Blues Clues is not an official Planeswalker because he does not officially possess a Spark even though he is capable of traversing different planes of existence with complete ease. Could I get confirmation that Blue is indeed a Planeswalker and that my friends are incorrect on this matter. Thank you for taking the time to read this email Kind regards, Jordan. P.S. I really enjoy the way that DDNext is currently looking, thank you for doing the playtests. And the epic response: Hello Jordan, Thank you for contacting Wizards of the Coast Game Support! This is a fantastic question! The nature of a Planeswalkers spark has always been the subject of vigorous debate, both in and out of the Wizards Headquarters. Many characters have been able to, through alternate means, travel from plane to plane despite lacking a Planeswalkers spark (a notable example would be Squee travelling with Urza throughout the planes of reality). That being said, it could be argued that Blue from Blues Clues does not travel from plane to plane at all, but rather through magical means he transports himself to various points on his home plane, never leaving to an entirely separate reality. As evidenced by the incantation Blue scadoo, we can too it is clear that Blue grants this ability of magical transportation to all that reside within his home plane. This being the case, it is this employees opinion that while Blue is not a planeswalker and lacks a spark, they are still a being of immense power with total control over their own reality, such as Memnarch and his control over the plane Mirrodin.
