Hahnville v. Destrehan High School Playoff Game Friday November 28th Important Traffic Notice There is a great deal of excitement in St. Charles Parish with both Destrehan and Hahnville High School football teams squaring off in the state quarterfinals this Friday. In preparation for what are expected to be record crowds attending the game at The Destrehan High School stadium, we will have 40 deputies working on game day to handle security and traffic control. In addition to this enhanced presence of deputies, a few traffic and parking restrictions will be temporarily implemented in order to minimize congestion in and around the stadium. We are asking everyone for their cooperation and understanding. • Beginning Friday morning, no one will be allowed to park any portion of a vehicle in the street on Schexnaydre Ln. or Thomas Colby Drive. All vehicles in violation are subject to being ticketed and towed. • Beginning at 2:30 p.m., Schexnaydre Lane at Wildcat Drive will become a one-way roadway with all traffic having to travel northbound towards Thomas Colby. • Beginning at 2:30 p.m., Thomas Colby Drive will also become a one-way roadway with all traffic having to travel eastbound towards Ormond Boulevard only. Residents of Thomas Colby should plan to reach their homes via Schexnaydre Lane after 2:30 P.M. • Beginning at 2:30 p.m., Wildcat lane will be closed at Ormond Boulevard except for the shuttle buses transporting fans from the Shriner’s Hall on Ormond Blvd. • All residents in the area will be allowed access to their property at all times, but will have to comply with these temporary changes. • The gates to Destrehan High School will open at 3:00 P.M. • We encourage fans to utilize the free shuttle service from the Shriner’s Hall on Ormond Blvd. to Destrehan High School to help alleviate parking concerns.
