Haitis Minister of Finance and Economy, Marie Carmelle Jean-Marie, announced this past week in New York, the creation of a new #InvestmentFund, that will replace the Haiti Reconstruction Fund (HRF). The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has agreed to finance the feasibility study of the investment fund project and entrusted it to a French financial group, Banque Lazard. The new Investment Fund is scheduled to launch on the symbolic day of January 12, 2015, which will mark the 5th anniversary of the terrible earthquake of 2010. The date (for the launch of the fund) was chosen by President (Michel) Martelly to mark the definite rupture with the past, shifting towards growth and development, Jean-Marie explained. #HaitiOpenForInvestments #CFIHT
