Hajj Leave (To whom it may concern) As per Article 76, a worker - TopicsExpress

Hajj Leave (To whom it may concern) As per Article 76, a worker who has spent two continuous years working for the same employer shall be entitled to 21 days leave with pay to perform Al -Hajj provided that he has not performed Hajj before. I want to know, as an expat, is it compulsory to travel for Hajj from Kuwait only. Secondly, the current year’s Kuwait quota for Hajj is only for Kuwaitis so we expats can’t go for Hajj from Kuwait. So, in this situation, can we get 21 days paid leave for Hajj to travel to Saudi Arabia from our own country? Name withheld Answer: Yes, you can travel on paid Hajj leave under the above article from anywhere in the world. Article 76 only gives out your entitlement and doesn’t restrict you to only travelling directly to Saudi Arabia from Kuwait. You are entitled to that leave but on return, if required, you might have to prove that you actually went for Hajj and were not just not resting in your own country. This is easily done through the various Saudi immigration stamps on your passport. So take your Hajj leave and travel from where ever you like. A lot of people are already doing the same.
