Half Day Trip: This trip is primarily about the waterfall (Mnambe). You are invited to enjoy and relax beneath the waterfalls. From Moshi town it is approximately 40 minutes to the village using public transport. NOTE: Private transport is much faster but more expensive; approximately 25 minutes to the village through a rough road. After your arrival in the village, begin the uphill walk for about 15-30 minutes to the waterfalls. Along the way, enjoy the scenes of coffee and banana fields, yams, coco-yams, vegetables and the housing style of the Chagga people. At the base of the waterfalls, you will have the chance to play in river, and/or relax along the riverside, where the waterfalls are like a natural shower. Enjoy lunch before beginning the journey back to the transport, and back to Moshi town. (total trip time, approximately 6-7 hours) Full Day Trip: Combining waterfalls and culture, you will begin the day by meeting your guide in Moshi town at 8.00 am to start the journey with public (or private) transport to the village. Once you arrive in the village, following a trek up the mountain slope, your first visit is to the famous view point named Mawonyi, an elevated area of 2000 meters above the sea level. It is a fabulous view of Moshi town with an introduction about the Chagga people’s customs and traditions. You will then trek to a Chagga home to learn how local people make their coffee right from the coffee tree – very different from the canned or packaged coffee that you are used to! You will be delighted by the traditional Chagga dancers from the village before stopping for lunch. After lunch, you will trek to the Mnambe waterfalls to relax and to play with river water where the waterfalls are like a natural shower. And then it’s time to head back down the slopes to the transportation and back to Moshi town. (total trip time, approximately 10-12 hours) Two Day Trip: Designed for maximum cultural exchange, the first day will follow as in the full day trip. You will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the village. On the 2nd day after breakfast, you will have a cooking experience with the Chagga women to prepare Chagga local dishes (about 3 hours). You will then visit the local primary schools where children will greet you with songs before returning to the point of transportation and back to Moshi town (or other point of return
