Halla Diab, supposedly a Syrian educated script writer, conveys her anti-syrian message to the BBC from a Syrian restaurant in Edgware road in London. Halla who comes from a modest family, Palestinian refugee father & Damascene mother, received her initial education in libya where her father used to teach Arabic , then pursuit her higher education in Damascus University where she got a governmental scholarship to carry on with her PHD in the UK. Halla who continued her study in the UK with the Syrian people taxes now denies that the taxes she pays in the UK goes to help the Syrian children. Halla, decided not to return to Syria after the scholarship to benefit her country with her studied and not to pay the Government back, now objects the British Governments decision to host 500 Syrian refugees from the most vulnerable category. Halla, who was forced to wear Hijab in Syria and took it off once she reached the UK, says that Syrian are un-educated muslims who wont be able to learn English and integrate in the British society. From all the above, we see how Halla is a self hating Palestinian/ Syrian who pretends that her father was a Syrian diplomate & denies her Palestinian origins. Halla apparently doesnt know that the Syrian community in the UK is one of the smallest but one of the best integrated and best educated and active.. All of them pay taxes like her if not more, invest in UK & marry europeans unlike other community whod rather live within its own community. Halla says that Syrian refugees, come from Homsi villages where people are badly educated but doesnt know that most of the Syrian educated elite comes from Homs and steve Jobs is one of the biggest examples Halla forgot that many of the Syrians living in the West have reached high level positions & never denied their Syrian origins. I am not here arguing UKs decision as they have welcomed 500K Iraqi refugees before & many others but I am pointing out her schizophrenic personality: How could someone like her who comes from this background says such horrific things about her peers? The reason why I always respected the UK much more than other European countries is because of its mix of culture, politically correct tolerance toward all minorities and the respect of others and above all human rights .. How could Halla pretend to be well integrated in the British society if she doesnt respect the basics fundamentals of the British society???
